I find it funny how when I saw the movie there was an intro from the cast and director actually apologizing for taking so long to come out with the sequel. I guess they must have realized just how much people wanted a sequel. I remember wanting a sequel and to see what else they could do with this idea, I guess a lot of people thought so too. So when I heard it was coming out I was interested to see how it would turn out after such a long time, and I thought it turned out to be just as good as the first one.

The movie takes place right where the first one left off with them fighting the villain who showed up in at the end of the last one. But it turns out that superheroes are still illegal and aren't wanted. Then a rich businessman comes to them and wants to use Elastigirl to help bring superheroes back into the spotlight. She excepts while Bob tries to his hardest to handle the kids so she can do hero work, all while a new villain called the Screenslaver hatches a scheme. It delivers all the comedy, action, fun characters, great animation just like the first one. Almost too much.
While I really enjoyed this movie I couldn't help feeling that the story seemed like a retread of the first movie, but with the roles reversed. In the first movie it was focused more on Mr. Incredible and now this movie is more focused on Elastigirl but a lot of the same stuff happens. They get an offer to be a super hero again, one of them gets captured and has to be saved, and the hole family comes together in the to defeat the villain, much like the first one. Even some the scenes with some of the characters like Edna seem like they were in there because they were in the first one. I feel like it meant to be like a part two to the first one but it just took so long to make it ended up looking like about the same. But with all that said I actually think I liked this one a little more.
Even though it is very similar to the first one it still also has a lot of improvements to it. The animation looks a little brighter and more colorful compared to the original, and the action scene were more fun and creative. It also gives a little more focus to some the characters while also giving us a lot of fun and interesting new characters. While it might not be that new or different, Incredible 2 is still a fun family superhero movie. If you liked the first one then I say check it out for yourself.
