Did ever wonder what a movie would look like if 26 directors worked on it? Well that is exactly what this movie is. Each director was given a letter of the alphabet and chose word ford starting with that letter. Then a short film about it involving the subject of death. Aside from that, all the directors had complete creative control over there movie. The result is one of the craziest things you will ever see.

When I heard about this movie I was really interested because most anthology movies would have only ten stories at most, so I wanted to see how this would work. I thought it was going to be a lot of short horror stories, but I was surprised to see how different each movie was. Some were horror, but others were comedy, action, sci-fi, and some couldn't be defined. Many of the shorts were just the directors experimenting with new things and it can be shown. Some are straight forward, some are more artsy, some are surreal, some are self aware, and some are even animated. It is all over the place.

But like many anthology movies, especially when they have different directors, all the shorts vary in quality. Because, they are all so different, it is hard to connect with them. I can only think of 8 or 10 shorts that I liked out of all of them. It's still interesting to see all the different ways these directors tell their stories, and in new and creative ways. The sequel, I think, really improves on the first one. It's the same thing, with all new directors, but it feels like it has a more solid tone. Most of the shorts have a more horror comedy feel which keeps it a little more focused. Though some are still more out there than others.

In all these movies are just a unique viewing experience. All the shorts are about five minutes long so it all goes by pretty fast and you don't get bored. I probably suggest just watching some of the shorts individually, if you can because you are definitely are going to enjoy some more than others. But if you just want to see something different and have about two hours to spear, than I would say check it out.
