Tucker and Dale Vs Evil

If I just told you that this movie is about college kids fighting against hillbillies in the woods, you would probably thinks that the title characters are the kids fighting against the evil hillbillies. But, the title characters are actually the hillbillies being attacked by the college kids. This horror comedy cleverly jokes on the old horror movie trope by reversing the roles, resulting in a very funny movie. But don't think means people aren't still getting killed in brutal ways.

Tucker and Dale two friends who go to the woods to fix an old cabin and encounter teenagers on vacation. When they save one of the girls from drowning, her friends think she is being kidnapped. What follows is a series of crazy misunderstandings that just keep escalating. As result the kids end up getting killed by there own stupidity.

This movie is full of moments that take a new perspective of horror movie cliches. Like, what if the guy coming at you with a chainsaw was just running away from bees? It also jokes on many of the stereotypes in horror movies. The "backwoods hillbillies" are actually smarter than the educated college students. Even though both are dumb in there own way.

Even if you don't really watch horror movies,

is still a very funny and enjoyable movie. If you are sick horror movie cliches and want to see something different, than I would say check it ou. Unless you are really squeamish, because there's still an amount of gore.
